He turned the business over to his son Gunter Gnauck in 1990. First time ever that the retail space was separated from the bakery by opening a Café. Which was a lifelong dream of Gunter Gnauck and his wife Margitta (b. Milde) and was opened in ‘92 at the New Market in Otterdorf-Okrilla. During the next few years, numerous improvements were made to the bakery and now new and proven equipment are working side by side. 1997 the old oven was replaced by a more efficient gas fired oven.
His son Marlon is the 5th generation of Gnauck to run the bakery bringing with him computerized innovations. Since 1999 internet sales have been going across the globe to places like Japan, the United States, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Thailand. Original Dresdner Stollen all over the world for Christmas.
